Digg's April Fool's Day Joke?

Digg a story, and get... a random character? (UPDATE: only mathematical symbols, it seems.) Certainly threw me off at first! I assume the downtime yesterday had to do with more than this. I did have a crazy dream last night about the site being completely revamped. Is it bad that I have dreams about Digg? More symbols:
